Franklin County Parks and Recreation is proud to announce record breaking numbers for attendance in youth athletics this winter. 951 young athletes are registered for basketball, cheerleading and wrestling which is 60 more than last year.
Nikki Custer, Athletic Manager said, “As we celebrate this achievement, it’s crucial to acknowledge the tireless efforts of the volunteers who dedicate countless hours to coach these young athletes and provide a safe and inclusive environment for them to develop.” Without the support from the community members who coach and the businesses who sponsor teams this would not have been possible.
The positive impacts from these efforts is evident in the smiles of young athletes, the cheers of proud parents and the sense of pride throughout Franklin County. This milestone underscores the importance of investing in youth sports
