Girls Fast Pitch Softball

Girls Softball leagues will play in the RAYSA (Roanoke Area Youth Softball Association) League.  Teams are formed in Franklin County.  Practices are held in Franklin County.  Games will be played in Franklin County and the Roanoke Valley.  Face masks are required for infielders for softball in all age groups. Batting helmets with face masks are required for all leagues.   All players should have their own glove, batting helmet, bat and face mask.  Late registrations accepted March 3-18 with an additional $15 late fee. Registration will close prior to March 18 if teams are full.

8U teams may play local only if there are enough teams.

Practices:  Up to twice/week, beginning early March
Practice Locations:  Elementary School Sites, Lions Field, Recreation Park
Games Schedule:  Up to 16 games beginning in April
Game Locations:  Recreation Park, Roanoke Valley
Equipment Needed:  Glove, Cleats, Batting Helmet with Face Mask, Defensive Face Mask for Infielders.  Bat recommended, but not required.
Ball Sizes:  8U (11” Incrediball), 10U (11” RIF 10 Softball), 13U/17U (12” RIF 10 Softball)
Uniforms:  Coach finds sponsor to pay for uniforms

Franklin County plays softball in the RAYSA League (Roanoke Area Youth Softball Association).
